New Columbia House
For those of you who don't already know, I've purchased a house in Columbia.
It is in the Old Southwest neighborhood of Columbia. This is the part of town that sits (more or less) west of Providence Road and east of West Boulevard and south of Broadway and north of either Stadium or Rollins depending on who is doing the defining. The house sits on the east side of Edgewood and is the fourth house north of Stewart Road.
This puts the house less than a mile west of the north part of the Missouri campus -- if you go west from the Quadrangle through the Engineering building and keep walking, you end up really close to the house. (Stewart Road is the street that runs by the University power plant.)
It is about about 2264 ft² and was built in 1925. The original living space is the ground floor only (just over 1000 ft²) and about 5 years ago the basement and the attic were finished. It has new wiring and plumbing, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a sun room sitting area, basement media and game room areas with wet bar, fully finished laundry and storage rooms, a deck overlooking the back yard and a walk-out basement.
The previous residents used the finished attic space as a master suite (it has plenty of closet space and an office/nursery area) but it really needs a half (or three-quarter) bath before I think I'll make it my bedroom.
Here are two exterior shots I took on the day I closed:

From the back yard facing west and a little south:
