About a decade ago my father made changes to his beef operation and began including native prairie grasses which he planted in several pastures. His work in this area led to the farm being on agricultural tours and in some interest in the agricultural press.

Missouri Conservationist magazine published a nice write-up about my parents and their farm in April of 2007. The full issue as printed, including pictures, etc., can be downloaded in Adobe PDF format here .

The above picture from the article title page was taken in one of the pastures on the farm where native grasses have been planted. I certainly appreciate and support the work Dad has done to reintroduce the original, native grasses back into the prairie in that part of Missouri where they have become scarce.
