I'm back in Columbia, having gotten here late Monday night. DaveTour 2010 is over -- it was a great trip all around.

We spent Friday enjoying Whitefish and trying to stay dry since it stormed very hard several times.

Saturday and Sunday were spent taking the train

from Whitefish to Chicago, the eastern terminus of Empire Builder Amtrak line.

On Monday we headed down to the Museum of Science and Industry

which sits on Lake Michigan

south of the Loop.

After that we got lunch with our cousin, Amy,

and her husband, Tim, who have lived in the area for more than 20 years. Amy was the perfect tour guide for a walk and water taxi ride

around downtown Chicago

before we caught the train back to La Plata, where we had started 15 days before.
